How Drone Photography can Elevate Your Listing by Showcasing Omaha
WHY TAKE PHOTOS FROM ABOVE?
When it comes to marketing a property, standard listing photos are the bare minimum. We are not a bare minimum company. Beautiful houses will absolutely stand out in Omaha just by raising the POV by about 20ft and even more so when we get a top-down view from 100-400ft.
If you’re listing a property in Omaha and the surrounding areas, understanding when and why drone photography is needed can help your listing stand out and attract more serious interest. When adding on drone photos, curb side appeal is non-negotioble for a stand out listing. Curious about how to PREPARE the outside? We got you covered..
Drone Photography provides a perspective that traditional ground-level photos cannot capture. With aerial images, buyers can:
See the full layout of the property
See the condition of the roof
Understand the size of the lot
View the surrounding neighborhood
Identify nearby features like parks, water, schools, golf courses, shopping centers, etc.
This added context helps buyers better understand what they’re looking at before stepping foot on the property.
WHEN DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY IS MOST IMPORTANT
Larger Properties or Acreage
Homes with larger lots benefit significantly from aerial photos, as they allow buyers to fully grasp the size and layout
Big houses benefit from being fully seen from multiple angles- from the ground and the sky
Homes with Unique Locations
Parks and lakes highlight a property’s value
Shopping Centers and other commodities can be seen without having to Google “what’s near.”
New Construction Listings
Drone photos help highlight lot placement, surrounding development, and overall layout
Homes in Competitive Neighborhoods
In areas where listings look similar, drone photography makes your listing stand out from the rest
HOW A DRONE CHANGES THE LISTING
When we take photos from the ground, the camera is always pointed up, even if so slightly. Being able to snap a photo of the home at mid-house-height drastically changes the perception. In fact, let me show you with a few examples I’ve taken over the years.
Taken from the ground
Taken from 50ft in the air
Taken from the ground with camera at 6’
We came back out a few days later to take this with the drone at 15’ in the air
These are two examples of how vastly different the angles are. We provide the same treatment to the back of the house too.
Obviously, we have limitations. Trees, power lines, and airspaces may interfere with our ability to safely fly the drone. We are FAA Part 107 Drone Operators and do have the ability and drive to put in authorizations in areas that have Class C, D, or E Airspace. They don’t always get approved, but we always try. If we can’t, we can’t. If weather is the reason for not launching our drones, then we will come back out for those photos at no additional cost.
When you’re ready to SCHEDULE our Real Estate Photo Services in Omaha, be sure to add a drone service if the house you are selling needs it.
